ACGcaps™ GL is a specially-created gelatin capsule for containing liquids. Designed to accommodate multiple active ingredients, ACGcaps™ GL is an excellent choice for low dose / high potency, low-solubility drug substances that are known to pose formulation challenges. This capsule can help fast-track to market even your most challenging APIs.

- Addresses the bioavailability challenges of poorly water-soluble drugs (such as BCS Class II and IV compounds)
- Helps resolve the formulation challenges of low dose / high potency and poorly water-soluble drugs thereby enhancing bioavailability
- Liquid-filling reduces the risk of airborne cross-contamination associated with powder filling as in the case of HPAPIs (highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredient)

Like softgels, ACGcaps™ GL is ideal for filling non-aqueous liquids, semisolids, and hotmelts. However, unlike softgels, you can fill our capsules up to temperatures of 70°C.

ACGcaps™ GL can be filled with combinations of microtablets, capsules and liquids. This is impossible with softgels, and greatly simplifies formulation design and production.
Perfectly leak-proof
Traditionally, softgels were used to contain liquids. However, advances in technology now allow ACGcaps™ GL to be perfectly sealed, while all the benefits of a hard shell solution are maintained.
Oxidation protection because plasticiser-free
Unlike softgels, ACGcaps™ GL does not contain plasticisers. This protects your formulation from oxidation and potential degradation, and ensures product stability and safety.
Accelerated product development and scalability
Creating new products with soft gelatin capsules requires simultaneous shell formation and filling. However, with our two-piece design, one simply needs to fill a premade capsule.
Customisable for optimal patient compliance
Our advanced colour and printing capabilities offer enhanced patient compliance through customisable capsule identification. Printing on softgels is far more limited.
